Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nick Finders (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use https://nick-finders.com and related pages (the “Service”). Most tools work in your browser without an account.

Effective / last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Quick summary

  • No account is required to use the core generators and browsers.
  • Favorites, recent copies, and your personal vote choices are stored in your browser (local storage).
  • Aggregate nickname vote totals may be stored on our Cloudflare infrastructure so popularity counts stay consistent for everyone.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • Do not enter sensitive personal data, payment details, or private passwords into naming tools.

2. Who we are

The Service is operated as Nick Finders / Nickname Finder at https://nick-finders.com. For privacy questions, contact privacy@nick-finders.com or hello@nick-finders.com.

3. Information stored on your device

Several features rely on browser storage so your preferences survive page reloads. This data typically stays on your device and is not uploaded as a user profile.

  • Favorites — nicknames you save on the Favorites page
  • Recently copied — a short history of nicknames you copied
  • Local vote state — which items you personally upvoted or downvoted in this browser
  • UI helpers — small flags that improve usability (for example remembering a last input)

You can clear this data anytime by clearing site data / local storage for nick-finders.com in your browser settings.

4. Information processed on our servers

4.1 Vote aggregates

When you vote on public nickname lists, we may send an anonymous vote update to our API (/api/votes). We store aggregate up/down totals per nickname id in Cloudflare Workers KV so totals can be shared across visitors. We do not ask for your name, email, or account to cast a vote.

4.2 Technical / delivery logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical data to deliver pages securely: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, user-agent, request URL/time, and security signals. These logs are used for security, debugging, performance, and abuse prevention—not for building marketing profiles.

4.3 Contact emails

If you email us, we receive whatever you include in the message. We use that only to respond and improve the Service.

5. What we do not intentionally collect

  • Government IDs, payment card numbers, or precise geolocation from your device GPS
  • Address books, photos, or microphone/camera data
  • Passwords for third-party games or social networks
  • Account credentials — we do not offer traditional username/password accounts today

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Core tools are designed to work primarily with local storage rather than tracking cookies. Our CDN/security provider may set strictly necessary cookies for network management or bot protection. If we later add optional analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this Policy and provide notice or controls where required.

7. How we use information

  • Operate and improve nickname generators, browsing pages, and related utilities
  • Maintain shared popularity totals and prevent obvious vote abuse
  • Diagnose outages, bugs, and security incidents
  • Respond to support and privacy requests
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use

8. Sharing and processors

We do not sell your personal information. We use infrastructure providers to host and secure the Service—especially Cloudflare for hosting, CDN, DNS, and serverless compute. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the Service.

9. International processing

The Service may be served from Cloudflare’s global network, so technical data can be processed in data centers outside your country as part of ordinary web delivery.

10. Retention

  • Browser storage — kept until you clear it or your browser deletes it
  • Vote aggregates — retained while useful for operating popularity features
  • Security / edge logs — retained according to provider defaults and operational needs
  • Email correspondence — retained as needed to resolve requests and for records

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data. Practical controls:

  • Clear local storage / site data in your browser
  • Stop using the Service
  • Email privacy@nick-finders.com with a privacy request

Because we do not maintain traditional user accounts, some requests may be limited to data we can reasonably locate. Aggregate anonymous vote totals generally cannot be tied back to an individual browser.

12. Children’s privacy

The Service is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child provided personal information to us by email, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

13. Security

We use HTTPS and reputable cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Avoid submitting secrets or sensitive personal information into generators that do not need them.

14. Third-party sites and platforms

Nicknames you copy may be pasted into games, social networks, or other services we do not control. Those platforms have their own privacy policies. Mentions of Free Fire, Instagram, Discord, and similar products are descriptive only and do not imply endorsement.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy, except where additional consent is required by law.
